A coast with several identities
The Mediterranean coast stretches beneath the Taurus mountain system and connects markedly different places. Fethiye and the Lycian setting, Antalya’s urban coast and the Cilician plain farther east are not one compact resort area. Select a coherent section before adding every place on the map.
Balance settlement and landscape
Antalya can anchor an old-city and archaeological journey. Fethiye lends itself to harbour life, Lycian remains and separate bay or walking outings. Inland monuments and mountain roads bring another rhythm; a coastal base does not make distant heritage stops local excursions.
Allow time for regional movement
Compare airport, overnight base and the direction of the next stage. Coastal roads, summer conditions and boat operations influence the plan differently from an inland flight. Choose which experiences matter—archaeology, time by the water or outdoor activity—and retain open time between them. Swimming, cruises and guided visits require their own confirmed scope.
