Begin with the old city
Kaleiçi is Antalya’s historic urban core, with lanes leading towards the old harbour. Hadrian’s Gate, the clock-tower area, Hıdırlık Tower and the fluted Yivli Minaret reveal different periods within this compact setting. Ottoman houses and reused buildings make the streets part of the experience, rather than merely connections between monuments.
Add archaeology with purpose
Antalya Museum introduces the wider region through archaeological collections. Perge, Aspendos, Termessos and the Lycian coast belong to separate excursions, with different travel distances and terrain. An urban museum session and an outdoor ancient-site day should not be treated as equivalent activities.
Coast, waterfalls and transport
Düden and the waterfall reaching the sea at Karpuzkaldıran are landscape interests beyond the old-city streets. Lara and Konyaaltı also offer distinct coastal bases. Match the hotel address to the actual programme and airport transfer, and check any boat outing separately. Historic lanes may involve steps and uneven surfaces; summer sightseeing benefits from a realistic heat-aware pace.
