Let the season define the day
A farm-to-table experience should begin with what a host actually grows, prepares and can share. This Urla day is built around one suitable producer or rural setting rather than a checklist of farms. It can complement an İzmir stay or an Aegean journey. Tell us whether you are interested in growing, seasonal cooking or simply understanding the ingredients on your plate.
A morning with context
Arrive at the agreed time and learn about the place before any activity begins. A field, garden or production-space visit may introduce the crops and working rhythm, depending on permission and conditions. If harvesting is possible, the host decides what participation is appropriate. Outside that period, the programme can concentrate on ingredients and preparation rather than staging a harvest that is not taking place.
From the visit to the meal
Allow time to wash, rest and sit down before eating. The meal should relate to the season and the host's actual kitchen, with menu details checked in advance. A demonstration or shared preparation can be requested when practical, but a hosted lunch and a hands-on cooking class are different formats. Conversation and an unhurried table are the centre of this day.
Keep the visit respectful and practical
Working land is not a theme park. We plan group size, walking sections, footwear and children's participation with the host, and ask before photographs of people or work spaces. Send dietary requirements early so suitability can be assessed. The proposal identifies the location, transport, meal and any activity, including a weather alternative or a change of format if the outdoor conditions are unsuitable.
