Read a region through its producers
This four-day suggestion connects two related subjects without treating every producer visit as the same activity. Around Urla, the emphasis is on wine, vineyards and the decisions behind a tasting. Around Ayvalık, the focus moves to olive growing and oil. A few meaningful appointments leave time to compare what you learn and enjoy the surrounding towns.
Start with Urla
Arrive through the İzmir area and settle near the first part of the route. On the following day, plan a limited number of wine appointments, separated by lunch and transfer time. Share the grapes and styles that interest you before visits are requested. A tasting can be introductory or detailed; the host, format and wines depend on confirmed arrangements.
Continue towards Ayvalık
The third day changes the subject to olive landscapes, cultivation and oil tasting. A producer visit can explore differences in use and flavour rather than becoming a shopping stop. Allow time in town and an unhurried dinner. On the final day, a further visit or departure transfer follows your onward travel plans, without squeezing in distant appointments.
Tastes, travel and participation
Private transport separates tasting from driving. Let us know if anyone prefers not to drink alcohol; meals and producer conversations can still make the route worthwhile. Harvest activity is not assumed, and production areas are visited only where authorised. Share your interests, preferred comfort level and arrival point so the proposal can show travel time and the scope of every appointment.
