Detailed Tour Program
Day 1 · Arrival in Istanbul
Arrive at Istanbul Airport and meet our assistant. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 2 · Istanbul: Bosphorus and bazaars
Visit the Mosque of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent and the Egyptian Bazaar, also known as the Spice Bazaar, the second-largest and second-oldest in the city. After free time for lunch, cruise along the Bosphorus on a regular ferry between Ottoman palaces and mansions on both shores. Continue to Beyoğlu for free time around Galata Tower.

Day 3 · Istanbul · Ankara · Cappadocia
Depart early towards Ankara with a breakfast box from the hotel. Take a panoramic tour of the capital, stopping at the Mausoleum of Atatürk. Continue to Cappadocia with a stop at Salt Lake. Dinner at the hotel in Cappadocia.
Overnight: Cappadocia.
By road: 750 km, approximately 9 hours including stops.
Day 4 · Cappadocia · Underground city and Göreme
An optional balloon flight is available at dawn. Visit an underground city excavated by Christian communities and, in the afternoon, Göreme Open-Air Museum, with rock-cut chapels and tenth-century frescoes. Visit a traditional handwoven-carpet workshop. Dinner at the hotel, with an optional folklore show in a traditional cave setting.
Day 5 · Cappadocia · Valleys and Uçhisar
Enjoy panoramic views of Avcılar and Güvercinlik valleys with their fairy chimneys, and visit the cave-dwelling village of Uçhisar, the region’s highest point. In the afternoon, visit a jewellery and local-stone workshop. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 6 · Cappadocia · Caravanserai · Pamukkale
Depart towards Pamukkale with a stop at a Silk Road caravanserai. Visit Hierapolis and the Cotton Castle, with travertine terraces formed by thermal waters. Dinner at the hotel.
Overnight: Pamukkale.
By road: 650 km, approximately 8 hours.
Day 7 · Pamukkale · Ephesus · İzmir
Visit the Greco-Roman city of Ephesus: the Library of Celsus, Marble Street and the Great Theatre, which accommodated 25,000 spectators. Continue to the House of the Virgin Mary, with time at a regional leather-goods outlet. Dinner at the hotel.
Overnight: İzmir / Aliağa.
By road: 250 km, approximately 3 hours 30 minutes.
Day 8 · İzmir · Troy · Istanbul
Depart towards Troy and visit the legendary city of the Iliad with its replica wooden horse. Cross the Dardanelles over the long 1915 Çanakkale suspension bridge and arrive in Istanbul.
By road: 620 km, approximately 8 hours.
Day 9 · Classic Istanbul
Visit Topkapı Palace with the 86-carat Spoonmaker’s Diamond, and Hagia Sophia. Enjoy free time for lunch, then visit the Roman Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque with its İznik tiles, finishing at the Grand Bazaar.
Meals: breakfast.
Day 10 · Departure
Breakfast—or a breakfast box depending on the flight time—and transfer to the airport. End of services.
