Detailed Tour Program
Day 1 · Arrival in Istanbul
Land in the city linking Europe and Asia. Assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 · Istanbul, Bosphorus and bazaars
Enjoy a free morning to rest. At midday, discover classical Istanbul at the Mosque of Süleyman the Magnificent. Continue to the modern side to see Galata Tower exterior and walk along lively İstiklal Street. After a lunch stop, cruise gently along the Bosphorus between palaces and wooden waterfront mansions known as yalıs. Finish among the colours and aromas of the Spice Bazaar.
Day 3 · Asian Istanbul · Ankara
Cross to Asia for a taste of everyday Istanbul: colourful houses in Kuzguncuk, panoramic views from Çamlıca Hill and a walk along Salacak overlooking the Maiden’s Tower. Depart by road towards Ankara, with a stop in Bolu. Arrive in the capital and have dinner at the hotel in Ankara.
By road: 450 km, approximately 5 hours 30 minutes.
Day 4 · Ankara · Cappadocia
Begin at the solemn Mausoleum of Atatürk, Anıtkabir. On the way to Cappadocia, stop beside Salt Lake, Tuz Gölü, and at a caravanserai on the ancient Silk Road. Arrive in Cappadocia with time to rest or take optional activities. Dinner at the hotel, with a Turkish Night available on request.
By road: 300 km, approximately 4 hours.
Day 5 · Cappadocia in depth
At dawn, travellers who wish can take an optional balloon flight. Spend a full day among unusual rock formations and rock-cut art: Göreme Open-Air Museum, the Göreme Panorama viewpoints and the conical silhouette of Uçhisar Castle. Visit a cave house to learn about cave-dwelling life in the past and today, then discover traditional crafts at carpet and semiprecious-stone workshops. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 6 · Cappadocia · Pamukkale
Cross Anatolia towards the Aegean with a lunch stop; lunch is not included. In the afternoon, discover the dazzling white Cotton Castle of Pamukkale and the Roman baths of Hierapolis, including the necropolis and theatre. Dinner at the hotel.
By road: 650 km, approximately 8 hours including stops.
Day 7 · Ephesus · İzmir
In Ephesus, walk along Marble Street to the Library of Celsus, look out over the Theatre and admire the Temple of Hadrian. Visit a leather shop, then the House of the Virgin Mary before continuing to İzmir. Dinner at the hotel.
By road: 190 km, approximately 3 hours.
Day 8 · Bursa · Istanbul
Follow the coast and continue to Bursa, the first Ottoman capital. In its historic heart, visit Ulu Cami, the Grand Mosque, and the bustling Koza Han Silk Bazaar. Stop for lunch and arrive in Istanbul.
By road: 480 km, approximately 6 hours.
Day 9 · Free day or optional Monumental Istanbul tour
The optional classical route through Sultanahmet takes in the Roman Hippodrome, the blue interior of the Blue Mosque, the grandeur of Hagia Sophia exterior and the rooms of Topkapı Palace. Stop for lunch, which is not included, and finish among the colours of the Grand Bazaar.
Day 10 · Departure
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight. End of our services.
