Detailed Tour Program
Day 1 · Arrival in Istanbul
Meet on arrival at Istanbul or Sabiha Gökçen Airport and take a private transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2 · Jewels of Istanbul and flight to Cappadocia
Begin at Süleymaniye Mosque, one of architect Sinan’s great works, with fine views over the Golden Horn. Then cruise along the Bosphorus between palaces, mansions and fortresses. Back on land, explore the Galata Tower area, İstiklal Street, Galata Bridge and the Spice Market. At the appointed time, transfer to the airport and fly to Cappadocia; meet on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight: Cappadocia.
Flight: Istanbul–Cappadocia, 1 hour 15 minutes.
Day 3 · Cappadocia · Green tour
Before dawn, an optional balloon flight offers the opportunity to see the volcanic landscape from above. After breakfast, take the green tour with a panoramic stop overlooking the fairy chimneys; Kaymaklı Underground City; a walk through Ihlara Valley; Selime Monastery; and Pigeon Valley. Dinner at the hotel, with a Turkish Night available on request.
Day 4 · Cappadocia · Red tour
Make a panoramic stop at Uçhisar, the region’s highest point, and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Göreme Open-Air Museum, with rock-cut churches and Byzantine frescoes. Continue to Love Valley and, after a lunch stop, Avanos, known for its pottery tradition, and Imagination Valley with its fairy chimneys.
Day 5 · Cappadocia · Flight to Istanbul
Transfer to the airport in Cappadocia and fly back to Istanbul. Meet on arrival and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free.
Flight: Cappadocia–Istanbul, 1 hour 15 minutes.
Day 6 · Classic Istanbul
Visit the Roman Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia exterior, Topkapı Palace and Basilica Cistern, finishing at the Grand Bazaar.
Day 7 · Free day or optional tour
Enjoy a free day or choose an optional tour of the Asian side—Çamlıca, Beylerbeyi, Kuzguncuk, Üsküdar and Kadıköy—or of old and modern European Istanbul: Balat, Pierre Loti, the Rahmi M. Koç Museum, Karaköy and Galataport.
Day 8 · Departure
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. End of our services, taking home lasting memories of Istanbul and Cappadocia.
