Detailed Tour Program
Day 1 · Arrival and red tour
Meet on arrival at Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport and go straight to the red tour: the Uçhisar viewpoint over the valley; Göreme Open-Air Museum with its rock-cut churches and Byzantine frescoes; Love Valley and its rock columns; and Avanos, where red clay from the Kızılırmak River is still shaped on the potter’s wheel. Transfer to the hotel and dinner.
Dinner is included at the hotel in Cappadocia.
By road: airport–Göreme, 60–80 km.
Day 2 · Green tour and departure
After breakfast, take the green tour into the south of the region: a panoramic view of Göreme; Kaymaklı Underground City with its eight levels of refuge; a walk through Ihlara Valley beside the Melendiz stream; the rock-cut Selime Monastery; and Pigeon Valley. Transfer to the airport at the appointed time.
By road: approximately 180 km over the day’s route.
