Detailed Tour Program
Day 1 · Arrival and the northern valleys
Meet on arrival at Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a first introduction to the region: the Göreme viewpoint at sunset, Devrent Valley, where erosion has created animal-like silhouettes, and a pottery workshop in Avanos. Dinner at the hotel.
Dinner is included at the hotel in Cappadocia.
By road: airport–Göreme, 60–80 km.
Day 2 · Red tour
At dawn, an optional balloon flight can be arranged on request. Afterwards, take the full red tour: Uçhisar Castle at the region’s highest point; Göreme Open-Air Museum with its chapels and tenth-century frescoes; Love Valley; Paşabağ with its triple-capped fairy chimneys; and a semiprecious-stone workshop. Dinner at the hotel.
Dinner is included. A Turkish Night can be arranged in the evening on request.
By road: approximately 90 km over the day’s route.
Day 3 · Green tour and departure
Take the green tour into the south of the region: Kaymaklı Underground City, a four-kilometre walk through Ihlara Valley among rock-cut churches, Selime Monastery and Pigeon Valley with views of Uçhisar Castle. Transfer to the airport at the appointed time.
By road: approximately 180 km over the day’s route.
