A preparation method
Finely ground coffee is heated with water in a cezve. Foam and the unfiltered grounds distinguish it from many espresso or filter preparations.
Serve and taste slowly
The small cup often comes with water and a sweet. Sugar preferences are usually discussed before preparation, and the grounds settle in the cup.
The cultural pause
Coffee belongs to hospitality and conversation, beyond its flavour. A café stop or preparation lesson should be requested separately from a sightseeing itinerary.
