The US starting point changes the journey
East Coast, Midwest and West Coast departures create different international journey lengths and feeder needs. New York’s JFK and Newark are separate airports, just as a departure from Washington Dulles differs from another Washington-area gateway. Use the full airport name and compare the entire booking, including any US domestic connection.
Arrival is not the first sightseeing hour
A transatlantic flight can arrive on the next date. Confirm the Turkish airport, meeting arrangements and hotel before planning the first day. Istanbul may be the destination or a gateway to Cappadocia, the Aegean or another region; an immediate domestic connection has different needs from a city stay. Do not rely on historic route frequencies or typical duration claims.
Passport and purpose remain decisive
Use official Turkish entry information for the document you will carry. Residency in the United States and citizenship are not interchangeable. Check transit requirements for any intermediate country and communicate the confirmed arrival details for local arrangements; a travel-planning reference does not guarantee immigration permission.
