Literature and archaeology
The wooden horse belongs to the Trojan War’s literary tradition. It is not an excavated object proving the story, and the archaeological city should be interpreted separately.
Different places to see a display
Trojan-horse displays at the archaeological site and in Çanakkale are modern representations. They have different settings and should not be confused with an ancient surviving structure.
Build the complete Troy visit
Use the display as an introduction, then allow time for ruins and museum interpretation. Confirm the actual stops when combining Troy with Gallipoli or Pergamon.
