Follow the layers of Anatolia
Archaeological travel works best when a route gives each place context. A museum, an ancient city and the surrounding landscape can explain different parts of the same story. Tell us whether your interests centre on prehistoric sites, the Greek and Roman world or the meeting of several periods.
A route built around the sites
The eleven-day Archaeological Turkey programme travels from Antalya and Aspendos through Hierapolis, Ephesus, Pergamon, Assos and Troy to Istanbul. It combines archaeological sites with museum visits and leaves some afternoons free. Road stages and overnight locations are listed in the programme so that you can assess the pace.
Allow time beyond a photograph
Consider how much walking and interpretation you want at each site. Tell us if museums, architectural detail or quieter time are a priority. The archaeological-methodology workshop described in the catalogue is subject to confirmation; participation does not include excavation permission or special access.
Confirm the practical details
Site access, opening arrangements and the final visit order are checked for your dates. We confirm the guide language, included admissions, transfers and optional activities in the agreed itinerary. No collection page guarantees entry to restricted areas or that every monument will be accessible on every date.
