How this route works
This 7-day proposal connects Istanbul, Cappadocia, Konya, Pamukkale, Kuşadası, Ephesus, Antalya. The day-by-day outline keeps sightseeing and regional moves visible, so the travel rhythm can be assessed before arrangements are made.
Use the programme as a route discussion. It identifies the places and interests for each stage while leaving transport, accommodation and service arrangements to the individual response.
Itinerary
Day 1: Istanbul → Cappadocia
The focus for this stage is Devrent Valley, Paşabağ, Avanos, Zelve Open-Air Museum. These places provide the visit outline; their sequence and the time spent at each should be adjusted to the day's starting point and onward travel.
Devrent is a landscape stop focused on the forms created in the eroded rock. It gives a different perspective from a museum interior and can help explain why the region's geology is central to the journey.
Paşabağ provides another setting for understanding Cappadocia's rock formations and their relationship with human use. The visit should distinguish observation of the landscape from any access to individual spaces.
Interests associated with this stage include Pottery traditions. Discuss the exact format and whether any activity belongs in the final plan; appearances in this outline do not establish a booking or inclusion.
The outline also includes a panorama towards Göreme, Uçhisar. A landscape view is separate from an interior or castle visit.
This regional stage is conceived around a domestic flight connection. Airport journeys and the usable visiting time need to be checked against the actual schedule; a flight ticket is not established by the proposal.
Day 2: Cappadocia
The focus for this stage is Red Valley, Güllüdere Valley, Çavuşin, Özkonak underground city, Pigeon Valley. These places provide the visit outline; their sequence and the time spent at each should be adjusted to the day's starting point and onward travel.
The valley landscape can be approached through viewpoints or a walking route. The chosen distance and terrain matter more than assuming every traveller will complete the same path.
Güllüdere belongs to Cappadocia’s valley landscape. The walking extent and connection with surrounding settlements should be specified so that a landscape stop is not mistaken for an unrestricted trek.
Optional planning interests for this stage include Balloon-flight enquiry. These are separate possibilities; their practical format, availability and any required arrangements need confirmation.
Day 3: Konya → Pamukkale
This stage connects the regions shown in the day heading. Allow the journey its own place in the programme, and distinguish a transport gateway from a destination where sightseeing is actually proposed.
Optional planning interests for this stage include Mevlana heritage, Alaeddin Mosque. These are separate possibilities; their practical format, availability and any required arrangements need confirmation.
The Konya portion is independent free time during the regional journey. Mevlana heritage or Alaeddin can be considered as personal visit choices, with admissions and any guiding discussed separately.
This is an overland regional stage. The journey through the places shown needs its own time allocation, with vehicle arrangements and stops confirmed for the final plan.
Day 4: Pamukkale → Kusadasi
The focus for this stage is Hierapolis, Hierapolis theatre, Hierapolis baths, Hierapolis necropolis. These places provide the visit outline; their sequence and the time spent at each should be adjusted to the day's starting point and onward travel.
Hierapolis adds an ancient-city dimension to the Pamukkale landscape. The relationship between built spaces, water and the surrounding terrain is a useful focus for an archaeological visit.
Optional planning interests for this stage include the ancient pool area. These are separate possibilities; their practical format, availability and any required arrangements need confirmation.
The regional sequence uses an overland bus connection as its planning format. The actual connection, ground arrangements and time available for visits require confirmation.
Day 5: Ephesus → Antalya
The focus for this stage is Temple of Artemis, Library of Celsus, Great Theatre, Temple of Hadrian, Curetes Street, House of the Virgin Mary. These places provide the visit outline; their sequence and the time spent at each should be adjusted to the day's starting point and onward travel.
The temple site provides context for Ephesus beyond the better-known urban ruins. It is useful to approach the surviving setting as an archaeological landscape, rather than expecting an intact monumental building.
The library façade provides one point of reference within the larger street and public-space system of Ephesus. Its meaning is richer when it is connected with the surrounding urban route.
This regional stage is conceived around a domestic flight connection. Airport journeys and the usable visiting time need to be checked against the actual schedule; a flight ticket is not established by the proposal.
Day 6: Antalya
Keep this stage open for a slower day in the destination. Decide whether to rest, explore independently or request a separate activity; the open time is useful precisely because it need not become another full excursion.
Day 7: Antalya → Istanbul
The focus for this stage is Düden waterfalls, Karpuzkaldıran waterfall, Kaleiçi old town. These places provide the visit outline; their sequence and the time spent at each should be adjusted to the day's starting point and onward travel.
This regional stage is conceived around a domestic flight connection. Airport journeys and the usable visiting time need to be checked against the actual schedule; a flight ticket is not established by the proposal.
Arrangements to clarify
Confirm each regional connection, overnight location and visit scope. Flights, vehicle type, guide language, admissions, meals and any boat, bath or balloon activity should be specified individually. The proposed programme does not import another operator’s hotel selection or service package.
