Choose the pace of your city stay
Istanbul brings palace courtyards, markets, waterfronts and neighbourhood life into one trip. The first planning decision is how much time you want for guided sightseeing and how much you want to explore independently. Colorido's Istanbul I, II and III programmes share a historic-centre day and a Bosphorus-focused day, then offer different amounts of free time. The private eight-day programme spreads its visits across more days.
Build your visit around distinct areas
Sultanahmet brings together the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace and Basilica Cistern. A second day can follow Süleymaniye, the Bosphorus, Galata, İstiklal Street and the Spice Bazaar. The Asian shore and the neighbourhoods around Balat, Fener and Karaköy add different perspectives, so decide which areas matter most before selecting a programme.
Read the visit details carefully: the regular urban programmes describe Hagia Sophia from the exterior, while the private programme lists a different set of included admissions. Check the chosen tour's own inclusion list.
Use free days deliberately
A free day can leave room for browsing, a café stop or another part of the city. Istanbul II offers an optional Asian-side route; Istanbul III adds an optional old-and-modern European-side route. These excursions are separate from the core programme. Tell us your interests and preferred walking pace when choosing between free time and an arranged visit.
Connect Istanbul with a wider journey
Istanbul can stand alone or combine with Cappadocia, the Aegean or a longer Anatolian circuit. Match arrival and departure flights to the actual first and last day of your itinerary, and confirm airport, hotel, transfers and guide language. The language of this guide does not determine the language of your tour guide.
