Culture or winter sports
Urban museums and historic neighbourhoods offer one style of trip. Mountain sports need their own operating conditions, equipment and participation arrangements.
Specific winter interests
Palandöken near Erzurum, Uludağ near Bursa and Kartalkaya in the Bolu area are separate mountain bases. Lake Çıldır near Kars introduces another winter landscape. Skiing, off-piste activities and any use of frozen water require specialist confirmation; snow or ice is not guaranteed by a month on the calendar.
Allow flexibility
Road conditions and outdoor activities can affect the sequence. Keep transfer days realistic and confirm any mountain or balloon activity independently of the cultural programme.
