Keep every booking on local time
Türkiye uses a common local time across the country. Check the time zone of every flight, meeting and connection rather than copying a fixed difference from your home city: other countries may change clocks seasonally. An overnight international flight can arrive on a different calendar date, so the arrival date matters as much as the departure hour.
Read dates and calendars carefully
Everyday dates use the Gregorian calendar. Turkish month names on a confirmation can differ from the names you know: ocak is January, nisan April, temmuz July and ekim October. Confirm the full written date if a numeric format is ambiguous. National celebrations and religious holidays affect different aspects of a journey; Ramadan and Eid dates need the actual year’s calendar.
Hours belong to the actual venue
A museum, market, restaurant and active mosque have different operating patterns. Do not assume one national closing day or a universal business schedule. Check seasonal hours, the last entry and any restoration or event restriction for each stop. Allow time for prayer-related access at religious buildings and for a realistic transfer back to the hotel or departure point.
