Identify the document behind each arrangement
Before agreeing a trip, ask for the booking terms that apply to the travel services and, if you are considering insurance, the actual policy document. Keep those references separate. A tour’s cancellation terms, an airline’s ticket conditions and an insurance policy answer different questions.
Ask what the proposed policy covers
Use a written checklist rather than relying on a product name. Ask the insurance provider which situations are covered and which are excluded, including any relevant cancellation, interruption, medical or baggage questions. Check whether the destinations, full travel period and planned activities fall within the proposed cover. Only the actual policy and provider can establish the answer.
Clarify changes and disruption
If you may need to change dates, ask the travel organiser about the booking conditions and the insurer about the policy terms. For a delayed or cancelled connection, identify who supplies the affected service and which documents would be needed. Do not treat a change to one flight as an automatic change to every accommodation or regional visit.
Keep the practical questions together
Ask when cover would begin and end, what information must be supplied, how an incident is reported and which contact is used for assistance or a claim. Keep policy details, booking confirmations and contact information accessible while travelling. Questions about your circumstances should go to the relevant provider.
Use this page as an enquiry checklist
Colorido can clarify the terms of the travel services in its proposal. Insurance arrangements need their own provider, wording and confirmation. This page supplies planning questions; it does not offer an insurance product, define a premium, promise a refund or state a level of cover.
