This audiovisual museum presents Hagia Sophia’s story through an immersive format. It is a separate venue and experience from entering the mosque itself.
Two ways of understanding
Projection can introduce changing religious and architectural roles. Direct observation of Hagia Sophia provides a different encounter with the surviving building; one need not replace the other.
Separate access
Check museum languages, session arrangements and admission independently of the mosque route. Allow time for both only when each has been specifically requested.
