Names with different traditions
Paul and Tarsus, John and Ephesus, Peter and Antakya, Philip and Hierapolis connect sacred biography with places. Historical evidence and devotional tradition should remain distinguishable.
A route is not one compact site
These locations lie across widely separated regions. George’s association with Cappadocia adds another religious tradition, not a reason to assume every cave church is dedicated to him.
Additional traditions
Barnabas and Philip also belong to the early Christian stories associated with Anatolia. Each narrative needs its own place and evidence, not an assumed visit on every pilgrimage programme. A route should name the shrines and archaeological sites actually requested, with room for reflection as well as interpretation.
Set the purpose of the journey
Choose archaeological interpretation, pilgrimage or both. Confirm actual access, transport and any worship arrangements separately; the city name alone does not promise a religious service.
