A marina designation
A marina’s Blue Flag concerns environmental management, information and services within a certification scheme. It is not the same as a beach award.
Coastal bases differ
Istanbul, the Aegean and the Mediterranean offer different harbour settings. Choose a departure port around the sailing route rather than a national ranking or an old certification count.
Possible marina settings
Istanbul-area examples include Tarabya, İstinye, Ataköy, West Istanbul and Yalova. Around the Aegean, consider İzmir, Alaçatı, Foça, Kuşadası, Bodrum, Yalıkavak, Turgutreis and Marmaris. Göcek, Kaş, Kemer, Antalya, Alanya and Gazipaşa introduce southern options. These geographic references are not a declaration that every marina currently holds an award.
Confirm the particular marina
Check current designation, berth arrangements and relevant facilities with the marina. A sailing proposal does not imply that every overnight anchorage uses a certified marina.
