Recognise the Ephesian image
Ephesian Artemis has an iconography distinct from the familiar Greek huntress. Her richly decorated representation belongs to the religious life of Ephesus and a sanctuary with influence beyond the city.

The Temple of Artemis remains near Selçuk and the sculptures in the Ephesus Museum are different visits. The site explains location and scale; museum objects help interpret the cult.

A ruins tour does not necessarily include the museum. Request both if sculpture is a priority, and allocate time without shortening the main archaeological walk.
