Know the exact air gateway
Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen are separate airports with different metropolitan locations. Antalya, İzmir and Ankara are other regional gateways, while some itineraries need an onward domestic connection. Check the full airport name and code on the ticket before arranging a meeting or hotel transfer.
Sea arrival has its own constraints
A cruise call, international ferry and private maritime arrival are different formats. Identify the actual port and whether the visit ends with a return to the ship or an onward stay ashore. Ship schedules, entry formalities and the chosen land excursion must be coordinated; a port’s proximity to an ancient site does not automatically provide an included tour.
Land and rail require a complete connection
International road, coach and rail journeys need current border and service information. The applicable entry documents remain separate from a ticket. If arriving with a vehicle, confirm the relevant official requirements for that vehicle and driver. Do not construct a border crossing from an old timetable or assume a rail route is available on every date.
The arrival day is a real stage
Allow for formalities, luggage collection, the meeting point and ground travel before adding visits. Send arrival date, local time, flight or ship details and the overnight address. A realistic first day leaves space for rest rather than assuming the entire afternoon is available.
