Detailed Tour Program
Day 1: Istanbul
Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Istanbul — Cappadocia by flight
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave the hotel to visit Topkapı Palace, the residence of the Ottoman sultans. Admission to the Harem room has a supplement. Free time at the Grand Bazaar, a building containing more than 4,000 shops. The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and religious holidays. Lunch.
In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Cappadocia. Arrival in Cappadocia, transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Cappadocia
Optional excursion: At dawn, the opportunity to take a hot-air balloon ride above the rock formations, fairy chimneys, natural formations and lunar landscapes.
Uçhisar Castle: Cappadocia's highest point, with many rooms, stairways and tunnels carved into the rock.
Göreme Open-Air Museum: A monastic complex with dozens of monasteries side by side, each with its own church.
Love Valley: Impressive rock formations.
Lunch: Served at a local restaurant.
Pottery demonstration: A tradition developed since Hittite times, passed from generation to generation.
Devrent, Camel Valley: Different rock formations and small fairy chimneys create a distinctive lunar landscape. Their unusual shapes invite you to use your imagination, like looking at clouds.
Paşabağ, Monks Valley: Spectacular mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys in the national park, where many hermits chose to practise their new faith.
Optional excursion: After dinner at the hotel, a folklore and belly-dance show with an open bar serving local alcoholic drinks. The programme features dances in characteristic costumes, folk music from Turkey's regions and belly dancing in a remarkably spacious rock-cut venue.
Day 4: Cappadocia — Istanbul by flight
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Istanbul. Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon and overnight accommodation.
Day 5: Istanbul
Breakfast at the hotel. A free day to enjoy this wonderful city. An optional Bosphorus cruise is available. Overnight accommodation.
Day 6: Istanbul — city of origin
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport. End of services.
